The best time to windsurfing is from December to March. Along the Pacific coast there are a few places with favorable conditions for sports. The best area for experienced surfers is Puerto Soley, near the border with Nicaragua, while the Gulf of Papagayo is ideal for less experienced surfers, as It is characterized by calm water and not so strong wind.
